JONAS LARSSON BAND

Jonas Larsson Band is a high-energy jazz-fusion group drawing strong inspiration from 1970s and 1980s jazz, rock, and blues. Their music blends the era’s powerful grooves—driven by pronounced guitar and keyboard riffs and heavy, dynamic bass lines—with complex, virtuosic improvised solos that push the sound into bold, modern territory.

2025 was a very creative year which resulted in 2 albums. The first one (Point Nemo) was released on Bandcamp 2/12 2025,

and the 2nd one (Airborne) was released 29/5 2026.

Point Nemo is a fully realised studio album, recorded across multiple locations including London and East Sussex (UK), Australia, and New Zealand. Featuring an international lineup of musicians, the album showcases a rich and expansive sound shaped by diverse influences. Point Nemo was produced, mixed, and mastered in the UK by Gregory Heath.

In contrast, Airborne captures the band’s live energy with striking immediacy. Recorded with minimal corrections, the majority of tracks are first takes, resulting in a raw and unfiltered sound that reflects the band’s authentic performance style. Produced by John Nicholls, the album was recorded in Hastings, UK, with the original band lineup.
